At DanceMaps, we prioritize your privacy while connecting dancers with festivals, local parties, and dance resources. We collect minimal data necessary to deliver our services: • Location Data (Geolocation): When you enable location permissions, we process your approximate GPS coordinates to display nearby social parties and festivals on the map. Location data is processed in real time and is never sold or permanently logged to track your movement. • Contact Form Submissions: When you send an inquiry via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you submit. • Local Storage & Preferences: We use browser localStorage to remember your saved favorite festivals, parties, and language preferences (English, German, Spanish).

We use collected information solely for the following purposes: • Rendering interactive map markers for local Bachata, Salsa, and Kizomba events near your active map viewport. • Personalizing your experience by maintaining your favorited party bookmarks. • Responding to support inquiries, user feedback, and event organizer submissions. • Maintaining application performance, security, and defense against unauthorized access.

To provide interactive maps and high-resolution flyer images, DanceMaps integrates trusted third-party service providers: • MapLibre GL & CARTO Tiles: We use Carto map tiles for interactive map rendering. Map requests transmit standard HTTP request headers (IP address, user agent) to retrieve map tiles. • Amazon Web Services (AWS S3): Event flyers and static media assets are hosted on secure AWS S3 storage buckets in Europe.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and international privacy laws, you hold full control over your personal data: • Right to Access & Rectify: You may request details about any personal data we hold or request its deletion. • Revoking Location Permissions: You can grant or revoke location access at any time through your browser or device settings. • No Tracking Cookies for Advertising: DanceMaps does not use intrusive third-party cross-site tracking cookies or advertising networks.
